Back To Work After A Baby

This week was my first back at work after Mikey was born. I was not prepared for how hard it would be to go to work and leave him and my wife at home. Fatherhood and Birth Coach Advice

This time last week my wife and I were reeling from the experience of our son being born. He came on Thursday, 6lbs 13oz, 20in long and perfect in every way. This last week has been such a blessing and I am so grateful for him, my wife, and the time I am able to spend with them. (more…)

Last weekend Mikey had his first shower. I know what you are thinking, “But mike, how can he take a shower if he isn’t even born yet?” It was his baby shower and boy was it fun. Taxes are the Devil

I recently discovered how much fun doing your taxes can be as a married couple. In the past I only had to worry about my own taxes. Ensuring that everything was in order before I sat down to do them. I naively assumed that this year would go just as smoothly and the only difference would be that I would be including one more W-2 and checking the Married Filing Jointly box. Baby Incoming

I cant believe that in about three months I will get to hold my son for the first time. It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we found out we were going to add one to our family. These next few months we will be getting the nursery ready and finishing our “spring” cleaning. There is a lot still to do to prepare for our little guy’s arrival and yet we can’t wait until he is here – especially my wife.  (more…)
