It has been quite a while since my last post, mainly because of how busy we have been with getting things ready for our new family member. Last weekend we ripped out the carpet in the nursery and put three coats of paint on the walls. That is right, I said three… because that is how many it takes when I paint.

The best part of last weekend had to be when we got to do the 3D ultrasound. I was a little skeptical at first that it was going to be worth the money but once we got to see the chubby little cheeks on our guy all my doubts went out the window. Don’t get me wrong, not all of the pictures we got are amazing. In fact, some of them are downright creepy. During the ultrasound there were points where the image on the screen looked more like something out of a horror movie than a baby.

My conclusion on the 3D ultrasound is that, if you have the money to drop on it, I definitely recommend getting it. But do your research and find a place that is friendly and has a good reputation. Our first attempt at them failed because Mikey wasn’t in the right position, so we had to reschedule and hope he flipped around. They didn’t charge us until we came back and actually got some good pictures, which I really appreciated. I would imagine though that there are places out there that would not be so customer focused.

I hope to be writing more often from now on, even if the posts are short. So check back and let me know in the comments if you have had, or know someone who has had, a 3D ultrasound and what you thought of it.
